He Reads the Economist So He Can Get the Gist

A friend of mine - one who is, no doubt, conversant in the entire oeuvre of Deleuze and Guttari - called me pretentious because I said I'd buy something from the Big Issue seller if he was flogging something like The Nation, The New Yorker, The Monthly, Mother Jones or even Wired. Or The Economist. Then on the venerable newspaper's podcast the other day I heard this outstanding tune.
